Dining customs
Vietnamese often have light breakfast in the morning with junk food (such as bread, sticky rice, porridge, soup, noodles). As a Vietnamese family’s characteristics, the main meals take place in the afternoon and / or evening, usually when the family has enough members gathering. Vietnam's main meal often consists of a main dish (rice), a spicy dish (sauce) and three basic dishes and adequate balance of yin and yang:
-A rice cooker for the whole family (each with a bowl and chopsticks)
-A small bowl containing the sauce (fish sauce or soy sauce) shared by the whole family.
-A food rich in protein and fat are boiled of fried such as meat, fish
-A boiled or stir-fried vegetable dish, or herbs, raw vegetables, pickles
-A tasty or simple soup

In the meals, it is traditional that Vietnamese usually use chopsticks and spoons. The most usual cooking styles are deep frying, stirring, boiling and steaming. Vietnamese food is not very fatty, as they tend to limit oil in cooking.
You will feel the warmness, hospitality and good time with friendly Vietnamese.
