Da Lat is a city in Langbiang (Lam Vien) Plateau, about 1,500 meters above sea level. Over 115 years of formation and development, Da Lat has become the center of politics, economy and culture of Lam Dong Province, and is now one of the tourist centers, famous resorts of the country and the region.

Da Lat has two main seasons: the rainy season from May to October, and the dry season from November to April. With fresh cool climate all year round, rich landscapes of pine forests, waterfalls amid the glorious colorful flowers, Da Lat is actually a unique attraction, like a fanciful picture of beauty.
The distance of 300 km from Ho Chi Minh City makes it easy to travel to Dat Lat with all kinds of vehicles.
- Air: Da Lat has Lien Khuong International Airport (main carrier: Vietnam Airlines), and this is most convenient way to travel Dalat from Hanoi Capital, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.
- Train: With Dalat Railway Station (a famous sightseeing place), there are daily Thong Nhat trains to Dalat (travelers do not often travel by this way). However, if you want to enjoy your trip with express trains (high quality) departing from Hanoi Capital, Ho Chi minh City and Nha Trang, you should book Tours including train tickets from travel agencies or companies.
- Bus: From Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, visitors can easily take an Open Bus to Da Lat, or reserve the package tour by Bus to Dalat. Especially, you also can discover yourself there by rent a motorbike or cyclo to travel around the City and relax.
Da Lat is a romantic popular tourist destination. It was founded in 1897 and well-known outside after Doctor Alexandre Yersin’s exploration of the area as a resort. Da Lat bears the look of a small Paris.

Da Lat has also famous artificial lakes such as Xuan Huong Lake, Da Thien Lake, Lake of Sorrow or Lake of Sighs (Than Tho Lake) and Tuyen Lam Lake bordered by lines of pine trees, which are a well-known feature of Da Lat. It is also known as flower Town.

Situated in cool central highland climate, Da Lat is also famous for its agricultural product from vegetables and fruits to flowers. Among locally grown foods are strawberries, asparagus, artichokes, grapes, tea and coffee. A must-try snack is baguette with strawberry jam, along with excellent Vietnamese-style coffee.
