The wheelchair services
Vietnam Airlines (VNA) offers special services to people with disabilities as well as providing assistance to those with visual or hearing impairments. VNA has a wheelchair service that benefits many customers.
1. Who uses the wheelchair service?
Customers with disabilities or impaired mobility, those in poor health, and elderly people are eligible for this service.
2. What types of wheelchair service are available?
Depending on the customer's health conditions and mobility, VNA offers the following wheelchair options:
*WCHR: For passengers who need a wheelchair in the airport but are able to ascend and descend stairs and move around the cabin.
*WCHS: For passengers who are able to walk but unable to ascend or descend stairs and need wheelchair assistance on the ground.
*WCHC: For passengers who are paraplegic/quadriplegic and require a wheelchair on-board in the cabin, on the ground during ascent/descent.
3. How do i request wheelchair services?
Contact your VNA's representative, VNA' regional booking office, branch office or agent before the flight. You will receive detailed instruction on the necessary procedures to request wheelchair services on the flight. The completion of these procedures will arrange all necessary equipment, wheelchair and other services to assist you. In particular, requests for WCHS and WCHC services must be mad eat least 24 hours before your flight.
