What is the visa on arrival? Top
This is one of the quickest and cheapest ways to get your entry visa. You just need to fill in our "Online Application Form", pay the service fee, get your "approval letter" within 2 working days and pick up your visa at your destination airports (Hanoi - Noi Bai Int'l Airport, Ho Chi Minh City - Tan Son Nhat Int'l Airport and Danang - Danang Int'l Airport). After we obtain the approval letter for you, we will forward you a copy by email or fax. Copies of the same document will be forwarded on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration checkpoints at International Airports only. Is the visa on arrival legitimate? Top
Yes, it is. The entry visa on arrival is officially issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department (under Government); it has the same validity as the visa which you get from any Vietnamese embassy abroad. "Visa on arrival" is frequently stated in the Immigration Laws and according to Vietnamese Immigration Law #24, 1999, clause #6, Chapter II.
What is an “approval letter”? Top
A "approval letter" is a letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department (under Government) that allows you to enter and exit Vietnam for a given time period. With the approval letter, you can pick up your visa upon arrival at one of the three international airports (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang). Before issuing an approval letter, the Immigration Department checks your application very strictly. Therefore, there will be NO chance of being REFUSED entry at a airport if you have obtained an approval letter. How long in advance should I apply for a visa? Top
A Vietnamese visa application can be done for from 1 day to 6 months in advance. Though it takes only 2-3 working days to get approving, it is strongly advised that you apply from 1 – 2 weeks before your arrival date to avoid an urgent fee or unwanted problems.
What should I do if I find out that I entered the wrong passport number? Top
Shortly after you submit your application, you should receive a confirmation email in the email address you provided us with. In this email, we detail the information you have entered earlier. If you find out that there is a mistake with any information, please contact us right away by sending an email to Apply@MyVisa.vn If you find out later about the mistake, you will have to re-apply for the new visa with the correct information. We recommend you send us your clear passport copy.
Can I travel without the letter and get the visa as I arrive? Top
No, you cannot. In order to board to plane, you need to show the approval letter to the airlines. This letter is also compulsory in order for you to get the visa at the Vietnam airport. Therefore, we recommend that you leave plenty of time to apply for the visa to avoid having to delay or change your flight.
Can I enter Vietnam later than my granted arrival date in the visa approval letter? Top
Yes, you can enter later than the granted arrival date in the approval letter providing that you exit by granted exit date.
What is the photo requirement for Vietnam visa on arrival? Top
Following is the list of regulations regarding photographs for Vietnam visa on arrival: Two photos are required (one glued on the entry and exit form; one is presented if needed) Photographs must be passport-sized, identical, taken within the past 6 months. The image size from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head should be between 1 inch and 13/8 inches. The photographs may be in color or black and white. They must be full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background. Photographs should be taken in normal street attire, without a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline. Uniforms should not be worn in photographs with the exception for the religious attire, which is worn daily. If prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles are normally and consistently worn, they should be worn when the picture is taken. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required to support the wearing of such glasses in the photographs.
